Spending the Night at the Airport

The terminal at Porto Airport remains open 24 hours, so it is possible to stay overnight if you have a canceled flight, a long layover, or an early morning departure. It is advisable to bring an eye mask, earplugs, and something warm, as the environment can be noisy, brightly lit, and have strong air conditioning.

Rest Areas

• Public Areas (before security): You will find seats in the food court area (Floor 3). Some cafes, after closing, leave their sofas accessible, which can be a comfortable option.
• Boarding Areas (after security): This is where there are more seats, some of them without armrests. The atmosphere is usually quieter than in the public area.
• Sleep Pods: The most comfortable option for sleeping inside the terminal. You can rent a private pod by the hour in the public area of Floor 3.
• VIP Lounges: They offer more comfort, but keep in mind that the ANA Lounge closes at 10:00 pm and the TAP lounge at 11:00 pm. They are not an option for spending the entire night.

If you need to spend the night at the airport, be aware that the availability of services is limited in the early morning:

• Food and Drink: During the night, most food establishments are closed. You will only find vending machines.

The airport and its surroundings offer various accommodation options, from sleep pods inside the terminal to hotels that can be reached on foot or by a short taxi ride.

Sleep Pods (Inside the Terminal)

For maximum convenience, especially for short layovers, you can rent a sleep pod by the hour. They are located in the public area of Level 3 (Departures) and offer a private space to sleep or relax without leaving the airport.

Hotels within Walking Distance of the Airport

Just a few minutes' walk from the terminal, across the parking area, is the Park Hotel Porto Aeroporto, the most convenient option if you prefer a traditional hotel.

Nearby Hotels (a 5-minute taxi ride)

In the immediate vicinity of the airport, there is a large concentration of modern hotels, which you can reach with a very short taxi or ride-hailing (Uber/Bolt) trip. Some of the most popular options are:
