Johan Adolf Pengel International Airport, also known as Zanderij International Airport and opened on March 28, 1954, is the main air terminal in Suriname, serving both Paramaribo (the capital) and the rest of the country. It operates flights to different destinations in the Caribbean, Panama, South America, the United States and the Netherlands.
