Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area

Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.

Spending the night at the airport

Phoenix Airport is large and open 24 hours a day. Terminal 4 is generally the most fully serviced. Earplugs are recommended, as the facility is noisy even at night.

Where to rest: Most seats have armrests, so it is better to have a sleeping bag in case you have to lie down on the floor. On the other hand, you can find some more comfortable benches in concourses B and D of Terminal 4, as well as in some food outlets in both terminals. The airport's VIP lounges are closed at night, but offer more comfort if you have a bigger budget. In addition, you can book a room at one of the nearby hotels, which can provide a shuttle service.

Baggage: There are no luggage storage facilities at the airport.

Eating and drinking: At least one of the options is open throughout the night in the public sector of each terminal.

Wi-Fi: Free and unlimited.

Other services available around the clock: ATMs, nursing rooms, chapel, children's play areas.

Hotels

Although Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport does not have a hotel physically connected to the terminals, its central location gives you easy access to a wide variety of accommodations within just a few minutes. Many of these hotels offer free shuttle service for their guests.

Where to board the hotel shuttle

If you have a reservation that includes shuttle service, you must go to the designated “Hotel Shuttles” areas:

  • Terminal 3: North and South curbs.
  • Terminal 4: Level 1 (Baggage Claim), North and South curbs.

In the baggage claim areas you will find information counters with courtesy phones to call your hotel and request pick-up.
