The airport features a main terminal where check-in and security screening take place. One of its most notable features is the open-air courtyard that connects the main building to the Sonny Bono Concourse, where all boarding gates are located.

The airport has ATMs and Wi-Fi access free of charge. Some of the local hotels have business and meeting facilities, and in the city centre, there is a convention centre. The Bob Hope USO Palm Springs, adjacent to the customs facility, opens from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm; it provides beverages, snacks, TV, computers, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, quiet area (accessible for the military and their families).

Three parking areas opposite the passenger terminal, available for long and short stays. The first 7 minutes have no charge.
