Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Spending the night at the airport
Riga Airport is modern and open 24 hours a day. The place can get cold at night, so it is advisable to have a sleeping bag or blankets, as well as headphones or earplugs in case the announcements bother you.
Where to rest: You can find plenty of benches inside the terminal, and even some particularly comfortable seating in the shopping areas. Past the security checkpoint, the best seats are in boarding sectors C and E. There is a VIP lounge on the third floor, although it closes at night. There is also a hotel on the premises.
Baggage: On the first level of the terminal, you'll find a 24-hour left-luggage service where you can leave your bags until check-in time.
Eating and drinking: Most of the shops are located before the security checkpoint, but there are no options open during the night.
Restrooms: There are showers in the VIP lounge.
Wi-Fi: Free and unlimited.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, baby care rooms, children's play area, chapel.
