Passenger Guide

Singapore Changi Airport (SIN), opened on July 1, 1981, is not only Southeast Asia's main aviation hub but a tourist destination in its own right. Consistently awarded as the "Best Airport in the World," it stands out for its operational efficiency and for Jewel Changi Airport, a mixed-use complex connected to the terminals that houses the HSBC Rain Vortex, the world's tallest indoor waterfall, surrounded by a climate-controlled tropical forest.

Parking services at Singapore airport (SIN)
Parking
Changi Airport has five main parking areas designed to provide direct access to the terminals and the Jewel complex. All car parks operate with an automated electronic payment system (EPS).
Grace Period:
There is a 10-minute grace period for quick pick-up and drop-off of passengers in all car parks. If this time is exceeded, the full rate will be charged from the minute of entry.
Important (Payment):
In Singapore, parking payment is made almost exclusively through stored-value cards (CashCard, EZ-Link, NETS FlashPay) inserted into the vehicle's IU unit or by tapping the physical card at the exit barrier. Cash is not accepted at the barriers.
Parking Locations
Terminal 1 / Jewel Car Park
This is a shared underground car park (levels B2M to B5) serving both Terminal 1 and the Jewel complex.
Services: Electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and spaces for motorcycles.
Terminal 2 (Car Parks 2A & 2B)
Multi-story buildings adjacent to Terminal 2. Car Park 2B usually has better availability.
Terminal 3 (Car Parks 3A & 3B)
Located in the basement with direct access to Terminal 3. EV charging points are available.
Terminal 4 (Car Parks 4A & 4B)
Multi-story buildings connected to the terminal via sheltered walkways. EV charging stations are available.
Hub & Spoke Car Park
An open-air car park situated between Terminal 2 and the JetQuay VIP terminal. It is ideal for those visiting the Hub & Spoke café or using the bicycle facilities.
Facilities for passengers with special needs
Singapore Changi Airport is a global benchmark for accessibility and inclusion. Its facilities are designed under the "universal design" concept, ensuring that passengers with reduced mobility, hidden disabilities, or families can travel with total autonomy and comfort.
Reduced Mobility
All terminals are free of architectural barriers, featuring ramps, spacious elevators, and accessible restrooms (including restrooms with equipment for ostomates). The Skytrain and shuttle buses are fully wheelchair accessible.
Wheelchairs (For the flight):
If you need assistance from check-in to your airplane seat, you must request it directly from your airline at least 48 hours before your trip. Airline staff will assist you through immigration and security.
Wheelchairs (Terminal loan):
To move freely through the public and transit areas of the airport (for example, for shopping or dining), Changi offers complimentary wheelchairs.
Where to request them: At any of the Information Counters across the 4 terminals (subject to availability). In Jewel, they are requested at the Concierge counter (Level 1).
Hidden Disabilities
Changi supports the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program. Passengers with autism, anxiety, dementia, or other non-visible conditions can wear the sunflower lanyard (or the local "May I Have a Seat Please" lanyard).
Benefit: This badge discreetly alerts airport staff (especially the "Changi Care Ambassadors" with golden pins) that you may need more time, patience, or guidance.
Families and Children
Stroller Loan:
The airport offers complimentary baby strollers for use within the terminals. These can be requested at the Information Counters (on a first-come, first-served basis).
Baby Care Rooms:
There are more than 160 private nursing rooms distributed throughout the airport. They are equipped with hot water dispensers, changing tables, and private nursing spaces.
Unaccompanied Minors:
Escort services for minors (usually between 5 and 12 years old, though this varies by airline) must be arranged with the airline before the trip. The airport does not provide this service independently.
Medical Assistance
For health needs, there are Raffles Medical Group clinics operating 24 hours in Terminals 1, 2, 3, and 4 (Public and Transit Areas).
Medical contact (T3): +65 6241 8818.
