Sleeping inside or in nearby hotels (SIN)

Possibility to spend the night at Singapore airport (SIN), if open 24 hours. Services available, places to rest (free resting zones), or look for the list of nearby hotels and vip lounges.

Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area

Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.

Singapore Changi Airport is frequently voted as the best in the world for sleeping, thanks to its security, cleanliness, and the existence of dedicated free rest areas. However, the air conditioning is very powerful, so it is essential to have warm clothing or a travel blanket.

Where to rest

Snooze Lounges (Free): Unlike other airports where people sleep on random benches, Changi offers official "Snooze Lounges" in the transit areas of all four terminals. These are quiet areas equipped with anatomical loungers designed for sleeping.
Typical locations: T1 (Level 3), T2 (Level 3, Sanctuary), T3 (Level 3), and T4 (Level 2M). They tend to fill up quickly.

Carpeted areas: If the loungers are occupied, the terminal floor is fully carpeted and clean, making it a viable option for many travelers with sleeping bags.

Hotels and Cabins:
- In Transit (Airside): Aerotel (T1) and Ambassador Transit Hotel (T2 and T3) allow stays in hourly blocks without passing through immigration.
- Public Area (Landside): YOTELAIR in Jewel offers compact cabins ideal for resting before check-in.

Luggage

To rest peacefully, you can leave your bags at the luggage storage service (Baggage Storage by Smarte Carte), available 24 hours in all four terminals and in Jewel. This is especially useful if you plan to sleep in the public area or visit the mall.

Eating and drinking

You will never go hungry at Changi. All terminals have options open 24 hours a day, from affordable Food Courts to international coffee and fast-food chains. There are also vending machines and convenience stores (such as 7-Eleven or Cheers) operating all night long.

Showers

If you do not have access to a VIP lounge, you can pay for a shower at:

  • Transit Zone: At the Ambassador Transit Lounges or the Aerotel spa.
  • Public Zone: At Hub & Spoke (located outside T2, near the parking lot) or at YOTELAIR (Jewel).

Wi-Fi and 24h Services

Connectivity: Free and unlimited Wi-Fi (#WiFi@Changi) and hundreds of free USB and universal charging points (even with security locks at some points).

Other services: Medical clinics, pharmacies, ATMs, prayer rooms, and nursing rooms remain available throughout the night.
