Juan Santamarí­a airport (SJO)

Juan Santamaría International Airport, opened on May 2, 1958, is Costa Rica's main air terminal. It operates domestic and international flights throughout the Americas and Europe.

The airport is located next to Alajuela, 23 km (14 miles) northwest of the city of San José.
