Sofia airport (SOF)

Sofia Vasil Levski Airport, opened on 16 September 1937, is the most important in Bulgaria. Due to its increasing traffic, it is continuously expanding. It operates domestic and international flights within Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.

Number of Terminals – 2 – Terminal 1 (low-cost flights) and Terminal 2 (international flights), open 24 hours a day and connected by courtesy minibuses operating every 30–40 minutes.

Annual passenger traffic: 7.9 million passengers passed through in 2024.

The airport is located 10 km (6 miles) east of Sofia city centre.

Parking services at Sofia airport (SOF)

The airport car parks, open 24 hours a day, are located in front of the terminals. The Kiss & Ride zone on the Terminal 2 kerbside is free for 10 minutes. Rates

- Terminal 1: Outdoor area next to the building, for short- and long-term stays.
- VIP Parking: Premium sector next to the Departures area of Terminal 1.
- P3: 5 minutes from Terminal 2, offers uncovered spaces for short- and long-term parking.
- P4: Low-cost outdoor sector for long-term stays, 7 min. from Terminal 2.
- P5: Uncovered, a few steps from Terminal 2, for short-term parking.

Facilities for passengers with special needs

Passengers requiring special assistance should inform their airline of their needs in advance. Facilities include reserved parking spaces, adapted toilets, lifts, and escalators.
