Salzburg Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Airport, opened on 16 August 1926, is the second busiest in the country, behind Vienna Airport. It serves as a gateway to Austria's main ski resorts. It operates flights to major destinations in Europe and the Middle East, many of which are seasonal.

Passengers requiring special assistance should contact their airline in advance and arrive at the airport 90 minutes before departure for domestic flights and 2 hours before for international flights. Designated parking spaces and accessible toilets are available. Line 2 buses are equipped to carry wheelchairs free of charge.
