Tenerife South Airport (TFS), officially Reina Sofía International Airport, is one of the main gateways to the Canary archipelago, together with Tenerife North Airport. Opened on 23 October 1978, it handles a significant share of the islands’ air traffic, specialising mainly in international and tourist flights to destinations in Europe.

Terminals
All operations take place in a single passenger terminal. Although the airport operates 24 hours a day, the terminal is closed to the public from 23:00 to 4:00. During this period, only passengers with a boarding pass are allowed access, within two hours before the scheduled departure of their flight.

Information Points
Information desks are located in the arrivals hall and in the security control area. In addition, a passenger assistance team, known as the "Green Jackets", is available in different areas of the terminal to answer questions and provide help.
Tourist Office: Located outside, opposite the arrivals hall. Opening hours are from 9:00 to 19:00 Monday to Friday, and from 9:00 to 17:00 on Saturdays and Sundays (Tel: +34 922 392 037).
Location
The airport is located in the municipality of Granadilla de Abona, 60 km (37.5 miles) southwest of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and 20 minutes from the tourist resorts of Los Cristianos and Playa de las Américas.

The parking service is managed by AENA. The official car park is strategically located just a few metres from the terminal, allowing quick access on foot.
General Parking P1
This is the airport’s official and main car park, ideal for both short and long stays. It is located just a few minutes’ walk from the terminal building.
- Type: Outdoor car park with some covered spaces.
- Availability: Open 24 hours a day.
- Payment: Payment can be made at automatic machines or manually at the counter.

Facilities for passengers with special needs
Tenerife South Airport offers facilities and services adapted to ensure accessibility and comfort for passengers with reduced mobility or special needs. Passengers requiring assistance are advised to inform their airline or travel agent at least 48 hours in advance to coordinate the necessary services.
Assistance for Passengers with Reduced Mobility (PRM)
The airport provides access ramps, lifts, adapted toilets and telephones. There are designated meeting points both inside and outside the terminal to request assistance. Qualified staff are available to provide support from arrival at the airport through to boarding the aircraft, including security and customs checks.
Unaccompanied Minors
Most airlines offer an escort service for unaccompanied minors, generally for children aged between 5 and 12 years. It is essential to contact the airline directly to find out their specific policies, fees and requirements for this service.
Adapted Parking
Reserved parking spaces for PRM are available in the airport car parks, close to the terminal entrances. To use these spaces, a valid disabled parking card must be clearly displayed in the vehicle.
