Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Overnight at the airport
Tampa Airport operates many flights and connections within the United States and some international destinations. Therefore, the movement tends to be constant, even during the night. There are not many comfortable places to rest, so it is advisable to have a sleeping bag or blankets handy.
Where to rest: While there is plenty of seating, most have armrests. However, the floor is carpeted and there are quieter areas on the third floor, as well as armchairs next to doors 1-45. You can also use one of the VIP lounges for more comfort, although these are closed at night. Another option is the
Marriott hotel, located on the premises, or other accommodations in the surrounding area, many of which operate 24-hour shuttle services.
Baggage: There are no luggage storage facilities. This means that you will need to remain with your bags until you can check in.
Eating and drinking: The available options usually close around 11:00 pm, but on level 3 of the Main Terminal, you will find a 24-hour market where you can get some snacks.
Wi-Fi: Free and unlimited.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, convenience store, nursing rooms, pet relief areas.
