Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Spending the night at the airport
Taipei Airport is a good place to rest if you have an early morning flight or if your flight is delayed. There are plenty of comfortable seats and designated areas. In addition, there are various activities to do while you wait.
Where to rest: The premises are relatively quiet at night. You will find numerous private corners where you can lie down, as well as reclining chairs near the boarding gates, particularly by Gate B7. Another option (for a fee or with a credit card that provides the service) is to use one of the VIP lounges, although most of them close at night. As for accommodation, there is a capsule hotel on the fifth floor of Terminal 2, and there are also several options in the surrounding area.
Baggage: Left-luggage services are available 24 hours a day in both terminals.
Eating and drinking: Only a few food outlets are open 24 hours a day in Terminal 2. In Terminal 1, only vending machines are available at night.
Restrooms: Showers are available in several locations throughout the terminals.
Wi-Fi: Free access is available.
Other services available around the clock: Currency exchange offices, ATMs, convenience stores, baby changing rooms, children's play areas.
