Turin Airport ensures accessibility for all its passengers by offering services and facilities designed for people with reduced mobility, sensory or cognitive disabilities, and unaccompanied minors.
Assistance for Passengers with Reduced Mobility (PRM)
The facilities include lifts, adapted toilets, ramps, automatic doors and tactile pathways for passengers with visual impairments. To ensure appropriate assistance, it is essential to contact the airline or travel agency at least 48 hours before the flight departure.
Contact Points: Upon arrival at the airport, assistance can be requested via the call points located in the multi-storey car park, near the terminal entrance doors and at the departures information desk.
Sala Amica: The airport provides a waiting lounge dedicated exclusively to PRM passengers, located in the departures area. There, specialised staff will accompany you from the security screening to the boarding gate.
“Autism – In viaggio attraverso l'aeroporto” Project
In collaboration with the Angsa association, the airport offers a specific programme to facilitate the travel experience of people with autism. This service includes an illustrated social guide downloadable from the official website and the possibility of a prior family visit (subject to availability) to become familiar with security and boarding procedures, thereby reducing travel-day stress.
Unaccompanied Minors
The escort service for minors must be arranged directly with the relevant airline. The airport provides a dedicated waiting room for children, where ground staff supervise them until boarding and handover to the cabin crew. Identity documents and a travel authorisation signed by the legal guardians are mandatory.
Reserved Parking
There are free parking spaces reserved for holders of the European Disabled Parking Card. These are mainly located in the multi-storey car park. To benefit from the free parking, users must present the original permit and the parking ticket at the information office or at a staffed payment desk before exiting.
