Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area

Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.

Spending the Night at the Airport

The terminal closes at night, after the last flight of the day, but passengers who arrive before closing may remain inside the airport overnight. However, as it is a relatively small terminal, comfort options are limited and the environment can be cold and noisy during overnight cleaning operations.

Rest Areas

  • Public Areas (Landside): Most seating is located on the departures level. Seats are metal with fixed armrests, making it difficult to lie down. Many travellers opt for the wooden benches in the cafés on Level 0 or, as a last resort, the floor (bringing a sleeping mat or blankets is recommended).
  • Boarding Areas (Airside): Accessible only if you have already checked in and security screening is operating. Seating options are similar to those in the public areas. It is worth noting that the Piemonte Lounge is not open 24 hours a day, so it is not an option for sleeping throughout the night.
  • Rest Cabins: The most comfortable option within the terminal is the ZZZleepandGo cabins located in the check-in area (Level 1). These are private, soundproof and climate-controlled spaces that can be booked by the hour.

Services Available Overnight

If you decide to spend the night at the airport, you should be aware of the availability of the following services:

  • Food and Drink: Most shops and restaurants close between 9:00 pm and 10:00 pm. Overnight, options are limited exclusively to vending machines offering snacks and drinks throughout the terminal.
  • Wi-Fi: The “Torino Airport Wi-Fi” wireless service is free, unlimited and operates without interruption throughout the night.
  • Security: The airport is monitored 24 hours a day, although it is common for security staff to ask to see your boarding pass or travel itinerary if you are in the terminal during the early hours.
  • ATMs: Available 24 hours a day in both the departures and arrivals areas for any financial needs.

Hotels

Although Turin Airport does not have a large luxury hotel physically integrated into its main building, it offers innovative rest options within the terminal and a varied selection of accommodation located just a few minutes away in the town of Caselle Torinese, many of which provide transfer services for their guests.

Accommodation in the Terminal

For short stays or early-morning flights, the airport provides smart rest cabins:

  • ZZZleepandGo: Located on the departures level, near the check-in counters. These soundproof cabins feature a bed, Wi-Fi, charging ports and flight information screens, allowing passengers to rest without leaving the terminal.

Nearby Hotels

The following accommodation options are located within a radius of less than 2 kilometres and are ideal for passengers in transit:

  • Jet Hotel: The reference hotel due to its proximity and 4-star category; it offers an efficient transfer service and comfortable rooms in a renovated former monastery.
  • La Montrucca Camere: An excellent option thanks to its immediate walking distance, offering a family atmosphere and competitive prices for short stays.
  • Rosa Verde: Noted for its tranquillity and personalised service, ideal for those seeking a relaxing rest before their flight in a residential setting.
  • Hotel Niagara: A functional and practical hotel offering good value for money and facilities for business travellers who require fast connectivity to the airport.
  • Le Ginestre: Operates as a welcoming bed and breakfast, allowing guests to enjoy a greener and quieter environment just a short distance from the runways.
