Tucson Airport operates many flights within the United States and it is not uncommon to see passengers waiting for their plane's departure inside the facility. While the terminal is open 24 hours a day, layover passengers must remain in the public area once the security checkpoint closes for the night. It is advisable to have a sleeping bag, blankets, earplugs or headphones, as there are loud announcements throughout the night and the place is usually cold.

Where to rest: In general, the terminal is a comfortable place to rest, with several cushioned seats and carpeted floors. In particular, large benches can be found on the main level. There is an on-site lounge, but it is only available to military personnel. Another option is to transfer to one of the nearby hotels, which operate complementary buses 24 hours a day.

Baggage: There is no left-luggage service, so you will have to stay with your bags until check-in.

Eating and drinking: Shops close at night, but there are some vending machines throughout the grounds.

Wi-Fi: It is free and unlimited.
