Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE), opened on 31 July 1961, is the most important airport in the Veneto region and one of the busiest in Italy. The airport has a single passenger terminal, operating from 4:00 am to 12:00 am. Outside operating hours, staying inside the building is only permitted with a flight ticket for the following day or with special authorisation.
