Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Spending the night at the airport
Venice airport has a small but modern terminal, which can get very busy. The building's doors will be closed between 0:00 am and 4:00 am, and you won't be able to stay inside the terminal unless you have documents proving you have a flight the next day. The airport tends to be cold, so it's best to have blankets.
Where to rest: There are few benches, and these are wooden and not very comfortable, except for a few couches in the check-in area. On the other hand, there are sleeping cabins in the boarding area, or you can try the airport VIP lounge, although it closes at night.
Baggage: The left-luggage service operates from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm.
Eating and drinking: Only vending machines are available at night.
Wi-Fi: Free and unlimited.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, baby changing facilities.
