Spending the Night at the Airport

Valencia Airport remains open 24 hours a day, allowing passengers to spend the night in the terminal. However, the experience may be uncomfortable due to constant lighting, overnight cleaning, and background noise.

Where to Rest

The best areas to rest are located on the boarding floor (Level 1), where there are more comfortable cushioned seats and some benches without armrests. The public check-in area (Level 2) is also used, but the seating there is less comfortable. Travellers report that the boarding gate area tends to be quieter during the night. It is advisable to bring a blanket or sleeping bag as the air conditioning can be strong, as well as earplugs and an eye mask due to the lighting.

Although the Joan Olivert VIP Lounge is available on Level 1, it does not operate overnight and has a maximum stay of 4 hours. For those who prefer a longer and more comfortable rest, there are several hotels near the airport, some of which offer shuttle services.

Food and Drink

Food outlets close at night. The only 24-hour option is the vending machines located throughout the terminal. Plan your meals accordingly if you intend to spend the night.

Luggage

There is no left luggage service at the airport, so you must remain with your belongings until the time of check-in.

Connectivity and Services

The airport offers free unlimited Wi-Fi throughout the terminal. Other services available 24 hours include ATMs, a multi-faith prayer room, a children’s play area, and a nursing room.

Safety and Comfort

Security staff are present throughout the night. According to traveller experiences, safety is generally not an issue, but it is recommended to always keep your luggage close and, if possible, use it as a pillow. Cleaning takes place at night, which may cause noise and interruptions to rest.
