Terminals
The airport operates 24 hours a day and has undergone a significant transformation with the opening of its new departures terminal in early 2025. The infrastructure is currently divided into functional areas that allow for an efficient passenger flow:
- New Departures Terminal: A modern building dedicated exclusively to check-in, security screening and boarding processes.
- Arrivals Terminal: Located in the historic building and its adjoining sections, it manages passenger arrivals and baggage reclaim.
Annual Traffic (2024): 4.8 million passengers.
Information Points
A tourist and general information desk, operated by the official organisation "Go Vilnius", is located in the Arrivals Hall (Sector A). There you can obtain maps, leaflets and assistance in planning your visit. General opening hours are from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Location
The airport is located 5.9 km (3.7 miles) south of Vilnius city centre.

Following the completion of a comprehensive modernisation of its traffic scheme at the end of 2024, Vilnius Airport offers an optimised parking system managed by Unipark. The new central forecourt layout provides direct access to the terminal and incorporates intelligent solutions for managing vehicle flow.
Kiss & Fly Zone
This area, located in the third access lane in front of the departures terminal, is designed for very short stops to drop off passengers and luggage. It offers 10 minutes of free parking once per hour. As the system uses barrier-free number plate recognition cameras, it is important to respect the time limit to avoid automatic overstay charges.
Short- and Long-Stay Car Parks
The airport divides its parking areas according to trip duration and proximity to the main building:
- Short Stay (P2): Located opposite the arrivals terminal, this is the most convenient car park for picking up passengers or for families with a lot of luggage. It offers 15 minutes free once per day.
- Long Stay (P4, P6, P8): P4 is a covered multi-storey car park with capacity for more than 700 vehicles, ideal for protecting cars from adverse weather conditions. P6 and P8 are uncovered areas located just a few minutes’ walk away, offering more economical rates for trips lasting several days or weeks.
Electric Vehicle Charging
Electric vehicle charging points are available in car parks P2 and P4. The service is managed entirely through the Unipark mobile application, which allows users to activate charging and make the corresponding payment digitally.
Payment Methods and Reservations
Practical Information: Payment can be made at the automatic payment machines located in the car parks (accepting cash and cards), directly at the exit using a credit card, or via the mobile application. To secure a space and benefit from preferential rates, it is recommended to make an advance online reservation.
Facilities for passengers with special needs
Vilnius Airport provides adapted infrastructure and specialised services to ensure that all passengers, regardless of their physical abilities, enjoy a comfortable, safe and efficient transit experience.
Assistance for Passengers with Reduced Mobility and Disabilities
To ensure optimal assistance from arrival at the airport to boarding, the airport offers trained staff and specific technical equipment, such as lifts, ramps and platform vehicles (ambulifts) to access the aircraft.
Advance Notice: It is essential to inform your airline or travel agency of any assistance requirements at least 48 hours before your flight.
Meeting Points: Clearly marked call and assistance points are available in the car parks, in the departures terminal and in the arrivals area. Upon arrival, you can activate the service from these points or proceed directly to the check-in desks.
Hidden Disabilities: The airport participates in the Sunflower Lanyard programme. Passengers with non-visible disabilities (such as autism, dementia or vision loss) can request a sunflower lanyard at the information desks, allowing staff to discreetly identify that they may require additional support or extra time during airport processes.
