Viru Viru International Airport, opened on April 26, 1983, serves the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra and is Bolivia's main air terminal. It operates domestic flights and international destinations in South America, Panama, the United States and Spain.

Facilities and services include adapted ramps and restrooms, and assistance in boarding and disembarking from the aircraft.
