Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Spending the night at the airport
Santa Cruz airport is open 24 hours a day, so you can spend the night inside if you have an early morning flight or if your flight is delayed. Bring comfortable clothes that will allow you to get a good night's rest, as well as a blanket or a travel pillow.
Where to rest: The benches do not have armrests, but are made of metal and not very comfortable. The second floor of the terminals, where the Departures areas are located, is usually the quietest place, but it is always better to choose a place away from the boarding gates. Another option (by paying or through a credit card that provides the service) is to enter one of the VIP lounges, where you can access greater comfort and privacy. One of them is even open 24 hours a day. The closest hotels are located within the city, but in many cases, it is possible to arrange a transfer service in advance.
Baggage: There is a luggage storage office in the Domestic Arrivals area.
Eating and drinking: Cafeterias are open 24 hours a day in both terminals.
Wi-Fi: Free and unlimited.
Other services available around the clock: Currency exchange bureaux, ATMs.
