Spending the night at the airport

Halifax Airport is a modern, safe and quiet place to spend the night if you have an early morning flight or if your flight is delayed. As the security checkpoints close at night, you will need to stay in the public area of the terminal.

Where to rest: Most seats have armrests, but there are a few more comfortable armchairs scattered around the premises. Many passengers choose to spend the night inside the airport chapel or on the second-level observation deck, which is carpeted and has several slightly more comfortable seats. There is also a VIP lounge on level 1 for those passengers who qualify. There is also a hotel connected to the main building.

Baggage: The security office operates a left-luggage service Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm so you can forget about your bags until check-in time.

Eating and drinking: There is an option open during the evening in the public area.

Wi-Fi: Free and unlimited.
