Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo airport (ZIH)

Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo International Airport, opened in 1998, serves the resort cities of the same name, in the state of Guerrero, Mexico. It operates with domestic and international flights (regular and seasonal), mainly from the United States and Canada.

The airport is located 6 km (4 miles) to the southeast of Zihuatanejo city centre.

The airport has ATMs, currency exchange bureau (Mondays through Fridays from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, Saturdays from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm, Sundays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm) and free Wi-Fi access.

The cost of the service depends on the area of the city where you travel and the type of service you hire (private or shared). Journey time to downtown Zihuatanejo is about 20 minutes and to Ixtapa is 30 min.
