Spending the night at the airport

If you have a connecting flight with a long wait or your flight leaves early in the morning, you'll have no problem spending the night at Zurich airport, as the terminal is open 24 hours a day.

Where to rest: If yours is not a connecting but a departure flight, the best thing to do is to check in and go to the boarding area, where you will find the most comfortable seats. There are several benches available where you can at least stretch your legs, and between 11:00 pm and 5:00 am, when activity is minimal, the atmosphere is usually quiet. It is always advisable to have a sleeping mask handy because of the light, and to have blankets or coats. Another more comfortable option, which involves a fee or the use of a credit card with the corresponding service, is to enter one of the VIP lounges, although these are closed during the night. On the other hand, there is a fully equipped hotel in the transit area of Hall D, two others are located in The Circle area, and one more is connected to the site via a covered walkway. A capsule hotel is also located in front of check-in hall 1.

Baggage: In car park P2, you will find lockers, as well as a left-luggage service that operates from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm.

Eating and drinking: There is a 24-hour coffee shop in The Circle area. However, in the rest of the airport, there are no restaurants or cafes open during the night. If you plan to stay in the public area, it is advisable to bring food and drinks with you. If you are already in the security area, you will have access to vending machines.

Restrooms: Showers can be found in the service centre, in the Airport Shopping area, from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm, in addition to those available in the VIP lounges.

Wi-Fi: The airport offers 4 hours of free access.

Other services available around the clock: ATMs, baby changing facilities.
