Abidjan airport (ABJ)

Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport, also known as Port Bouet Airport and built in the 1970s, is the largest in Ivory Coast. It operates with different destinations in Africa, the Middle East and Europe.

 Location

The airport is located in the district of Port Bouet, 16 km (10 miles) southeast from downtown Abidjan.

Public and private transportation

Bus - Line 6 from SOTRA (Tel +225 2175 7100) connects the airport with Gare Sud Plateau and the city centre from 5:30 am to 9:30 pm, via Lycee Moderne, Centre Pilote Port Bouet, Notre Dame d'Afrique, Bernabe, Parc Des Sports and Maison du Congres. Taxi - Vehicles are available around the clock outside the terminal. Official cabs are painted orange and have fixed fares. Travel time to the city is 20-30 minutes.
