El Dorado International Airport, opened on December 10, 1959, serves the city of Bogotá and is the busiest in the country. It concentrates most domestic flights and operates with destinations throughout America and the main locations in Europe. It is also the most important cargo airport in Latin America, having one of the world's largest landing strips.

Number of Terminals - 2 - Terminal 1 (national and international flights). Terminal 2 (also called Puente Aéreo) usually works for some domestic flights to Cali and Medellín through Easyfly and Satena airlines. Although momentarily it is without operations. Both terminals are open 24 hours a day. They are connected to each other by a free satellite bus that leaves every 20 minutes and operates between 5:00 am and 11:00 pm.
