Colombo airport (CMB)

Bandaranaike International Airport, also known as Katunayake Airport and opened in 1967, serves the city of Colombo and is the busiest in Sri Lanka. In addition to domestic flights, it operates international destinations in Asia, the Middle East and Europe.

Number of Terminals - 2 - Terminal 1 (international flights) and Terminal 3 (domestic flights). Open 24 hours a day and situated next to each other.

Annual passenger traffic: 5.5 million passengers went through it in 2022.

The airport is located in a suburb of Negombo, 32.5 km (20 miles) north of the city of Colombo.
