Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Spending the night at the airport
If you're on a tight budget, you might consider spending the night inside Damascus Airport’s terminal, as it remains open 24 hours a day. Check the safety of your surroundings and try to stay in a well-lit and busy area.
Where to rest: The waiting area is well lit and has comfortable seating. However, it can get quite noisy and crowded, so noise-cancelling headphones or earplugs are essential for a proper rest. Next to the airport, there is also a hotel if you prefer a quieter night.
Baggage: There are currently no luggage storage services available.
Eating and drinking: Bring your own snacks and drinks, as most shops tend to close at night.
Wi-Fi: Free in 30-minute sessions.
