Rome Fiumicino airport (FCO)

Fiumicino-Leonardo da Vinci International Airport, opened on January 15, 1961, is the busiest in Italy and one of the most important in Europe. It operates with domestic and international flights to destinations around the globe.

Number of Terminals - 4 - Terminals 1, 3 and 5, open 24 hours a day (terminal 5 is currently closed for renovation works). A free shuttle connects all terminals with each other and with the car parks every 15 minutes between 4:00 am and 1:00 am. Due to the current situation, passengers must leave the Terminal between 00:00 and 03:30, for sanitation procedures.

Annual passenger traffic: 11,5 million passengers went through it during 2020.

Parking services at Rome Fiumicino airport (FCO)

Fiumicino airport has a sector to drop off or pick up passengers (free up to 15 minutes), another long-term, a Multilevel, an Executive a very short distance from the terminals, a parking lot for motorcycles, a sector for passengers reduced mobility and another for pregnant women and women in general.

 Kiss & Go Area

The Kiss & Go of 15 minutes is reserved for passengers and their companions who go to Terminals 1,2 and 3 of the airport, both Departures and Arrivals.

Long-stay parking

There are 2,000 covered and 2,000 uncovered parking spaces available, also for short-term parking needs. This area can be reached directly from the Roma-Fiumicino motorway (A91). It is only 10 minutes by shuttle from the airport terminals.

The shuttle service is free and runs every 5 minutes from 05.01 to 00.59. From 1:00 a.m. at 5:00 a.m., the service is available upon request, using the intercoms found at each transportation stop. In Terminal 3 of International Departures there are shuttles dedicated exclusively to the connections of Terminal 5.

Multilevel Terminal Car Park

Marked with the letters A-B-C-D, the multi-level terminal parking lots are covered parking spaces and can be reached directly from the Roma-Fiumicino motorway (A91). They are perfect for short-term parking and are conveniently connected to the terminals by a pedestrian walkway equipped with moving sidewalks.

Executive Parking

Make your journey enjoyable right from the start when you park in secure executive parking lots with video surveillance. They are located a short distance from the Departures and Arrivals area and have covered access to the Terminals. With the Fast Track voucher at Terminals 1 and 3, you have access to the priority lane for hand luggage security checks.

Many other benefits are also included, such as a welcome coffee, a newspaper when you deliver your car, exclusive benefits at the airport restaurants, Alitalia Miles and the possibility of requesting a car wash by hand, refueling and other services for your car.

Parking for motorcycles

There is a covered motorcycle parking available with a separate entrance on the ground floor of Terminal A multilevel. It is conveniently connected to the Terminals by a pedestrian walkway. It is available for short and long term parking.

Parking for the disabled

This free and reserved parking is available at:

Multilevel-Terminal A, on the ground floor and levels 4 and 5

Multilevel-Terminal C, on the ground floor

Long-stay parking, in all sections

To take advantage of these spaces, an original disabled parking permit must be shown, along with the ticket that is taken when leaving the parking area. parking lot, to the staff in the operations center located to the left of the ABCD exit barriers of the multi-level parking lots, Open 24 hours every day.

To obtain this benefit, accompanying disabled passengers must show customer assistance staff a copy of the airline ticket belonging to the disabled passenger, in addition to the original disabled parking permit, and the ticket taken upon entering the parking lot.

There are reserved parking spaces available for passengers in possession of a disabled parking permit in front of the Terminals, both at the Arrivals and Departures levels. A maximum of two hours of parking is allowed.

Parking Pink

These courtesy covered parking spaces are dedicated to new and pregnant mothers, and female travelers:

Multi-level Terminal D, on the 3rd level, conveniently connected to the Terminals by a pedestrian walkway equipped with Moving sidewalks (about 5 minutes walk)

Long-stay parking, in section 2, near the free airport shuttle stop (every 8 minutes)

There are twenty-eight Extra-large spaces, reserved for new mothers, to facilitate the loading and unloading of strollers and make the exit of the vehicle more comfortable for future mothers. There are fifty-two standard spaces reserved for female travelers.

The areas dedicated to Pink Parking are equipped with: 24-hour service cameras directly connected to the Operations Center, SOS call system, ATMs, toilets at all levels or in the immediate vicinity.

Parking spaces marked with pink lines on the pavement are not free.

 

Services for passengers with special needs

Passengers requiring special assistance should notify their airline at least 48 hours before their arrival. There are tactile pathways, special waiting rooms, adapted restrooms, accessible desks, elevators and reserved parking spaces.
