Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Spending the night at the airport
Phuket Airport is open 24 hours a day, so staying overnight inside can be a convenient option if you have an early morning flight or arrive late at night. However, it is advisable to bring an eye mask and earplugs, as the lights remain on and there may be loud announcements during the night. In general, airports are safe places, but it's always good to stay alert and keep an eye on your belongings.
Where to rest: The third floor is the quietest area, especially near the airline offices, where there are some darker spots. On the ground floor, there is also a waiting area with comfortable seating and artificial grass where you can lie down. You can also find some VIP lounges in Terminals 2 and 3. The only downside is that they close at night. If you decide to go to a hotel, there are various options in the city and coastal area.
Baggage: There are no left luggage services available at the moment.
Eating and drinking: Some food outlets remain open overnight, and you will also find vending machines with snacks and drinks.
Wi-Fi: Free for 2 hours.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, currency exchange counters, children's play area, baby changing facilities.
