Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Spending the night at the airport
Phuket airport is open 24 hours a day, so spending the night inside can be a convenient option if you have an early morning flight or arrive late at night. However, it is advisable to have an eye mask and earplugs, as the lights remain on and there may be loud announcements at night. In general, airports are safe places, but it is always good to be alert and take care of your belongings.
Where to rest: The third floor is the quietest area, especially next to the airline offices, where there are some darker areas. Opposite the ground floor, there is also a waiting room with comfortable seating and artificial grass to lie down on. Inside terminals 1 and 2, you can also find some VIP lounges. The only problem is that they close at night. If you decide to go to a hotel, there are different options within the city and the coastal area.
Baggage: There are no luggage storage facilities at the moment.
Eating and drinking: There are no alternatives open at night, so make sure you have enough food and water with you just in case.
Wi-Fi: Free for 2 hours.
