Innsbruck Airport, also known as Kranebitten Airport and opened on 1 June 1925, serves the state of Tyrol in western Austria and is one of the most important in the country. During the winter season, it gains more relevance due to the high tourist traffic. It operates domestic flights and international routes to destinations in other European countries.
