Los Angeles International Airport, opened on June 7, 1930, is one of the busiest in the world. With its ever more extensive air cargo system, it is a commercial leader, taking advantage of its modern facilities and excellent connections with ground, water and air transportation systems. It operates with domestic flights and international destinations to every continent.

Number of Terminals - 9 - Terminals 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and Tom Bradley International Terminal.  A free shuttle bus (LAX Shuttle Bus) connects the terminals, shuttle services and parking lots every 10 minutes, 24 hours a day, with stops on the arrivals level in front of each terminal.

Annual passenger traffic: 66 million passengers went through it in 2022.

There are traveller's aid counters on the Arrivals level of every terminal (weekdays from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm). Throughout the enclosure, you can find volunteers in red jackets that provide information and assistance.

The airport is located 27 km (16 miles) southwest from the city centre.

Parking services at Los Angeles airport (LAX)

Areas for short and long stays and parking for motorcycles and electric vehicles. Next to the access road there is also a passenger pick-up area which is free of charge for 2 hours (Cell Phone Waiting Lot). More information: Tel +1 424 646 7275 / 310 893 4676.

Terminal B Pickup Zone - Located on the lower level of Parking Structure 3, to pick up passengers near the Tom Bradley International Terminal. It is free to use.

Central Terminal Area - Eight multi-level facilities in front of each passenger terminal. The first 15 minutes are free of charge.

Economy Lot E - Remote sector with complimentary shuttle bus service to the main area 24 hours a day, every 15 minutes.

Facilities for passengers with special needs

Facilities include access ramps, elevators, adapted telephones and restrooms, and reserved parking spaces. Airport buses are accessible to passengers with reduced mobility.

Wheelchair service is provided free of charge by your airline. There is no need to tip for wheelchair service.

Accessible vehicles can be requested by calling +1 310 646 9177. An accessible cab will be dispatched from the waiting lot to the area of the LAX Central Terminal closest to the ACCESS location indicated by the DARK BLUE sign on the terminal curbside. On the other hand, service animals are allowed in cabs at no additional charge.
