Miami International Airport, opened on February 1, 1959, serves as a gateway between the United States and Latin America. It also operates several flights to Europe and various destinations around the world. It is the third busiest international airport in the country, behind the airports in New York and Los Angeles.

Number of Terminals – 3 – North Terminal (Concourse D), Central Terminal (Concourses E, F, and G), and South Terminal (Concourses H and J). Open 24 hours and connected by moving walkways on the third level.

The MIA Mover is an elevated automated tram that connects the Central Terminal with the Intermodal Center and the Rental Car Center. The Skytrain is an automatic train that runs between both ends of Concourse D. See more >>

There are general and tourist information counters on Level 2 of Concourses D, E, H, and J, open from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. There are also volunteers and courtesy white phones providing information and assistance to passengers.

The airport is located in Miami-Dade County, 13 km (8 miles) west of downtown Miami.

Parking services at Miami airport (MIA)

The airport has two multi-level facilities for short- and long-term stays, accessible via the Arrivals and Departures levels, as well as charging stations for electric vehicles. Valet parking service is available on Level 2 (Departures) of both garages. There is also a free passenger drop-off area (Cell Phone Waiting Lot) located next to the access road.

Dolphin Garage – Serves Concourses D (North Terminal) and E (Central Terminal). For passengers flying with American Airlines, British Airways, JetBlue, and Qatar Airways
Flamingo Garage – For passengers using the Central and South Terminals (Concourses E, F, G, H, J) flying with other airlines.
Economy Park & Ride – Open-air lot located at 1350 NW 45 Ave, connected to the terminals via a free shuttle service running every 15 minutes.

Facilities for passengers with special needs

There are ramps, elevators, accessible phones and restrooms, service animal relief areas, moving walkways, and designated spaces on the third level of the parking garages. Taxi and shuttle companies have accessible vehicles. Individual airlines can provide wheelchairs upon request.

Multisensory rooms offer passengers with various disabilities a place to relax and enjoy a calm environment before boarding their flight. They are located in Concourse D, next to Checkpoint 4, and in the H/J connector. Open from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm.
