Spending the night at the airport

Munich Airport is very friendly to passengers who wish to spend the night inside the terminals due to a connecting or direct flight during the early morning or late-night hours. The terminals remain open 24 hours a day and offer various services throughout the night, including information desks.

Where to rest: There are designated rest areas with reclining chairs and flight information screens. These are located between gates H32 and 33 (level 5), G16 and 17 (level 4), G43 and 44 (level 4), K22 and K24, and next to gate L4 (level 4). Additionally, Terminal 2 offers comfortable lounge chairs and paid sleeping cabins.

NapCabs – On levels 3, 4, and 5 of Terminal 2, there are private cabins equipped with a separate workspace and free internet access. They are a budget-friendly option for overnight rest in a small private space. Minimum stay: 2 hours. Rates: 6:00 am to 10:00 pm – €17.00/hour; 10:00 pm to 6:00 am – €12.00/hour.

If you have the budget for a hotel, the Hilton Munich Airport is located between both terminals. Nearby airport hotels are listed below.

VIP lounges also offer more comfortable spaces, although they are not available overnight. Passengers stranded due to a delayed flight or another incident may request mats from airport staff.

Eating and drinking: While there is a wide variety of food options, most venues close before midnight and reopen early in the morning. Only a few remain open overnight on levels 4 and 5 of Terminal 2.

Baggage: The airport’s luggage storage services operate from 5:00 am to 11:30 pm (Munich Airport Center) and from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm (Terminal 2), allowing passengers to enjoy their stay without their belongings if the flight departs after the service reopens.

Restrooms: Showers are available in Terminal 2 and the Munich Airport Center, with paid access, as well as in the VIP lounges.

Wi-Fi: The airport offers unlimited free internet access via email registration. There are also power sockets and USB ports for charging mobile devices.

Other services available around the clock: ATMs, children’s play areas, baby changing facilities, petrol station, prayer rooms.
