Munich Airport, opened on 17 May 1992, serves the administrative region of Upper Bavaria and is one of the busiest airports in Germany and Europe. It operates various flights around the world.

Number of Terminals – 2 – Terminals 1 and 2, open 24 hours a day.

Terminal 1 is divided into 5 modules (A, B, C, D, E) and accommodates airlines that are not part of Star Alliance, while Terminal 2 includes a satellite building and is home to Lufthansa and Star Alliance member airlines.

The Munich Airport Center is a shopping, business and leisure area that connects the two terminals.

The main information desk is located on level 3 of the Munich Airport Center and is available 24 hours a day. Other information points are located on levels 3 and 4 of the terminals and open according to flight schedules.

There are also service centres on level 3 of the Munich Airport Center (5:00 am to 11:30 pm) and near gates G and H in Terminal 2 (6:00 am to 10:00 pm).

Parking services at Munich airport (MUC)

Short-Term

At the departure lane (Kiss & Fly) and the arrival lane (Kiss & Ride) of both terminals, drivers may stop free of charge for a short time (departures: 5 min. / arrivals: 10 min.). After that, a fee of €3.00 per 10 min. applies (maximum stay 1 hour).

Long-Term

Terminal Parking – Multi-storey car parks adjacent to the terminals (P1, P3 and P7 next to Terminal 1, P20 and P26 next to Terminal 2).
Economy Parking – Budget remote parking areas (P41, P43, P44, P50, P51, P90) with free access to the terminals via buses (every 20 min.) or trains (every 10 min.)
Premium Parking – Spacious bays on Level 6 of P20, offering additional services such as valet parking, car wash, and fuel refill.

Facilities for passengers with special needs

Ramps, lifts, escalators, accessible toilets, Braille signage, tactile guidance systems, reserved parking spaces, a special services desk in the check-in area of Terminal 2, and free wheelchairs at information points are available. Inform your airline or travel agency of your specific needs at least 48 hours in advance.
