Due to the current pandemic situation, both departures and arrivals operate only in Terminal 2. For Germany, travel restrictions apply for entry from a large number of countries. Munich Airport, opened on May 17, 1992, is one of the busiest in Germany and Europe. It operates with several domestic flights and overseas.

The central information desk is found on level 3 of the Munich Airport Center and is available around the clock. Other information points are located on levels 3 and 4 of the terminals and are open from 6:00 am to 10:30 pm.


The airport is located 29 km (18 miles) northeast from the city centre.

Parking services at Munich airport (MUC)

Munich Airport has a wide availability of parking for short and long periods, with charging stations for electric vehicles. Valet parking service outside modules B and D of Terminal 1 and level 4 of Terminal 2.

Short term

In the departure lane (Kiss & Fly) and the arrival lane (Kiss & Ride) in Terminal 1 and 2, drivers can stop free of charge for a short time (Departure: 5 min. / Arrival 10 min.). Then fees apply: € 2.50 every 15 minutes (maximum 4 hours of stay)

Long term

P1-P3 - Underground car parks for short stays in front of Terminal 1.
P5, P7, P8 - Parking lots located underground opposite Terminal 1, for long stays.
P20 - Covered spaces next to Terminal 2.
P26, P27 - Underground garages adjacent to the central area.
P41 - Remote sector with free buses.
P80, P81 - Areas away from the main building, connected through the train services.
P35 - Directly across from the general aviation terminal.

Services for passengers with special needs

There are ramps, lifts, escalators, accessibles restrooms, Braille signage, tactile guidance systems, reserved parking spaces, special service counter in the check-in hall of Terminal 2, free wheelchairs at the information points. Notify your airline or travel agency about your particular needs at least 48 hours in advance.
