Spending the night at the airport

San Francisco airport is one of the busiest in the United States, so it is frequent to see many passengers waiting for their flight departure at night. As the enclosure is often noisy and bright, it is recommended to have a sleeping mask, headphones and earplugs.

Where to rest: In general, it is a comfortable airport, with padded and pretty ample seating, especially in the International Terminal. Benches can also be moved to find a more comfortable position. Some ideal places where you can rest are the baggage reclaim hall of Terminal 2 and the food court of Terminal 3. On the other hand, Freshen Up!, near gates G1 to G14 of the International Terminal, is open around the clock and offers a few private rooms and showers. Another option is to use one of the VIP lounges, where you can access more amenities, privacy and toilets with showers, although they close at night. Most nearby hotels offer shuttle services.

Baggage: In the International Terminal there are left-luggage services between 7:00 am and 11:00 pm.

Eating and drinking: There are eateries open around the clock in terminals 1 and 3 and the International Terminal, in addition to vending machines. Other shops often close between 11:00 pm and 6:00 am.

Restrooms: Besides the VIP lounges, there are showers inside Freshen Up!, in the International Terminal.

Wi-Fi: It is free and unlimited.

Other services open 24 hours a day: Baby changing facilities, children's play areas, yoga rooms, relief areas for service animals, ATMs, drinking fountains.
