Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Spending the night at the airport
Sal airport is a quiet place to spend the night if you have a flight early in the morning.
Where to rest: You can find long rows of benches with no armrests where you can lay down. Inside a separate building there is also a VIP lounge with more amenities and privacy, although it closes at night. On the other hand, some of the hotels in the island offer shuttle services for their guests.
Baggage: There is no left luggage service available. This means you will have to keep your bags with you until check-in.
Eating and drinking: The terminal has a few options, but these close at night.
Restrooms: Showers only inside the VIP lounge.
Wi-Fi: Free access.
Other services available around the clock: Currency exchange bureaus, medical clinic.
