There are buses from the Metropolitan District of Quito that follow routes to the north and south of the city (Terminals Río Coca, Quitumbe and Carcelén), with a cost of USD2.00.
The fare varies between USD25.00 and USD35.00. Uber and Cabify are available for a similar rate, although the stop next to the entrance to the terminal is exclusive for cabs, so you will have to coordinate with the driver the pick-up point.
As a first requirement, you will need to have an accommodation reservation for all the days you will be in the islands, as well as a round-trip airline ticket. During the check-in process, you will need to complete an entry form. Then you must go to the Galapagos Government Council office to hand in the form.
