Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, opened on June 15, 1955, connects Nepal with the rest of the world, since the rest of the country's airstations only operate with domestic flights. Nevertheless, a new international airport is projected for 2019 (Nijgadh International Airport). It operates with domestic flights and several destinations in Southeast Asia, the Far East and the Middle East.

Bus - The public bus company Sajha Yatayat (Tel +977 1555 2686) operates line 3 to the city, with a frequency of 15-30 minutes. The route runs through Sinamangal, Gairegaun, Tinkune, Shantinagar, Baneshwor, Babarmahal, Maitighar, Thapathali, Tripureshwor, Shahid Gate, Purano Buspark and Ratnapark. Taxi - There is a stand next to the Arrivals gate where you can book pre-paid services and fares are displayed. At the same time, there are cabs at the parking area and stops over the road leaving the airport. The trip to the city centre takes 10-15 minutes.
Sixt (Tel +977 1446 6655) offers car rental services at the airport from Sunday to Friday between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm.
Across from the terminal building there are parking spaces for short and long stays.
The enclosure has ramps, adapted toilets, lifts and escalators. If the passenger should require special services, he/she should contact their air company in advance.
